Solarity certainly made a name for themselves in 2009 with groove-fuelled bombs such as ‘DNA’ and ‘Terminal 6’ and the London-based duo start 2010 as they mean to go on with two new tracks. Featuring on the forthcoming Anjunadeep:02 compilation, the patiently building ‘Diophantine’ is a multi-layered track awash with melody and underpinned (of course) by a trademark kicking bassline.

On the flip side are two mixes of ‘Red’, the Original fusing moments of serenity and energy to great effect, whilst the Redder Mix, with its sweeping, soothing strings, delivers just under seven minutes of tranquil bliss to show another side to the Solarity sound.

On a one-man mission to bring classic style, euphoric synths back to modern-day trance, Tobias Schuh aka Cold Blue is back with this latest double A-side. Brimming with peak-time energy, opener Downhill’s soaring lead melody is a must for any uplifting set. Downhill has already gained radio support from Above & Beyond and was featured on Anjunabeats Volume 7.

Despite the name, the light and airy B-side ’30 Degrees At Midnight’ has an ice-cold feel to it, and makes for a less full-on alternative to its predecessor.

‘Green Line’ signals a welcome return to Anjunabeats for Romanian producer Petrisor Dima. Following in the footsteps of the drive and buzzing energy of ‘First Division’ and the lusciously melodic ‘Transport’, the man from Brasov takes his brand of patiently constructed progressive-tinged works into dreamier domains; a celestial blend of steady beats, serenely gliding atmospheres and enchanting melodies, this blissful slow builder is perfect for raising hands aloft as it patiently builds to a crescendo and bursts into life.

Taking charge on the B-side is seasoned Anjuna remixer Ronski Speed who also remixed OceanLab’s smash hit ‘Lonely Girl’ for Anjunabeats, this time techs things up with a rework of electrified synths and tougher beats.
