Above & Beyond "Anjunabeach" limited edition 12" vinyl releases

Drawing its inspiration and its name from the paradise of Goa, ‘Anjunabeach’ radiates the spirit of the golden sands of the Indian idyll. Forged at the peak of musicianship and from the unforgettable experiences of marathon sets in front of thousands across the globe its crunchy, bristling intro fades into a swirling breakdown of pure tranquillity before a storm surge of sweeping synths gathers to energise a wave of uplifting piano-driven choruses. Already road-tested by Above & Beyond at Global Gathering this year, this epic instrumental is very much set to assume anthemic status.

On the B-side we have a remix by none other than Jerome Isma-Ae who has carved a huge name for himself in the last year. This remix remains true to the original mix and builds in a great dancefloor atmosphere.

This is a vinyl release not to miss.

To The Six

Label: Anjunadeep
OUT NOW

1. Original Mix
2. Matt Lange Remix

‘To The Six’ has been generating a flurry of excitement ever since a tantalising teaser of this mesmeric track was showcased in advance of the release of Anjunabeats Volume 7, and now this inspired cross-label collaboration gets its chance to shine on Anjunadeep. Very much an amalgamation of two contrasting yet complementary styles, its Signalrunners-esque peak and trough structures balance perfectly with Øistein’s keen ear for a delightful jingle. Its glacial interludes are filled with gently rippling keys and hauntingly beautiful melodies to give a real polar feel, and drift into a stirring, sweeping sequence of choppy, tech-flavoured synths and gorgeously wistful guitars.

Matt Lange takes the reins for the remix and fashions a rework that adheres to the key elements of the original but brings the stabby synths to the forefront, thereby transforming it into a hypnotic groover. Truly spellbinding in every sense of the word, and definitely not a release to miss!

Whilst ‘Anjunabeach’ continues on its path towards undoubted anthemic status, Above & Beyond’s tech-flavoured, prog-tinged peak timer gets the remix treatment on this two-track package. And as a true maestro of the instrumental, who better than Jerome Isma-Ae to pick up the baton on the first remix? It was with his storming collaborative remix of Komytea’s ‘Professional Killers’ that versatile German producer made his mark over on Anjunadeep, and he makes the jump across the water for the first remix on this package. Taking sides with the progressive elements of the original, its brisk roller of a bassline dominates the mix and the undisturbed vibe contrasts with Nitrous Oxide's heavy-hitting take over on side two.

Nitrous Oxide takes the reins and expertly blends his trademark sounds with those of the master mix to give ‘Anjunabeach’ a driving and energetic edge. With the serenity of the breakdown matching the original all the way and the typically booming, synth-fuelled choruses to boot, it certainly has ‘crowd pleaser’ written all over it.

Part Two is a big #TATW300 party at Forum Hall in Moscow, featuring many of the radio show's most popular artists. Russia was the first country to syndicate TATW - now broadcast on over 120 FM stations worldwide - and on December 12 Above & Beyond will be joined by Kyau & Albert, Super8 & Tab, Daniel Kandi, Mat Zo and local talent, PROFF. A special 300 minute broadcast featuring highlights from the event will air on January 1, 2010.

The official countdown to #TATW300 will take the form of an online advent calendar, with some fantastic prizes given away every day in December until Christmas Day. Full prize details will be announced at the end of November. In addition, fans are invited to start their own #TATW300 discussion topics in the Anjunabeats forum and to use #TATW300 as the twitter hashtag.

HOW YOU CAN BE INVOLVED IN THE TATW300 FANS SPECIAL BROADCAST:

Above & Beyond would like YOU to compile and present the '#TATW300 Fans' Special' show. This is your chance to present your favourite tracks to listeners all around the world, and you can get involved in the following ways:

* We have set up a special youtube group at www.youtube.com/group/tatw300 where you can submit video OR audio of yourselves introducing your favourite track from the past 300 episodes of TATW.

* If you can't submit audio or video but still want your vote to count, you can tweet track requests to @aboveandbeyond3 (using the hashtag #TATW300) or email to tatw300@tatw300.com

Remember to include your name and where you're from, then mention your all-time favourite track from TATW and why you chose it. If you like you can also mention where and why you always listen to Trance Around The World. Feel free to inject some energy and humour but please keep audio and video submissions short and clearly audible.

Track voting will run from November 16th until December 14th. The most requested tracks will feature in the 300th show, together with a selection of track introductions from the listener contributions (regrettably, we will not be able to include every single fan submission, due to time constraints). Check www.trancearoundtheworld.com for a fully searchable archive of all past episodes of the show and to help pick your favourite.

The Solarity boys are riding on the crest of a wave right now after exploding into life on Anjunadeep with the heavy grooving dancefloor destroyer that is ‘Terminal 6’, one of the highlights to be lifted from the recent Anjunabeats Volume 7 compilation. With that in mind, Alfie and Nick have conjured up a couple of tranquil proggers on this double A-side release, their third on the label.

Ideal as an early-setter, ‘Logger Riddem’ leads the way on this release with its ghostly, peaceful interludes, loopy effects and easy flowing sounds. Equally easy on the ear is the floaty ‘Mantis’; with its gliding, string-led intro, it drops back on top of a light, relaxed groove, warm sheeny synths and stuttery vocal cuts, for a somewhat less intense, but by no means less enjoyable listening experience.

When Mike Koglin and Above & Beyond’s Paavo Siljamaki last touched base in the studio, the fruits of their labours took the form of the evocative, wistful melodies of ‘Untitled Audio’. It’s been a while since that joint effort but they’ve since teamed up for a second time and the stunning ‘Autumn’ sees them at their collaborative best.

The Original Mix, a crisply produced number with a progressive edge, bottles the very essence of the third season and perfectly sets the scene for what is to follow on Anjunabeats Volume 7 with its chilling breakdown, raindrop piano keys and gently fading vocals.

Emerging Finnish producer Tuomas Lahteenoja is assigned 1st remix duties and as Tempo Giusto he works up an equally gorgeous, groove-led alternative with an unmistakably frosty feel. Fading out halfway through before picking up again with wave after wave of sheeny synths, this more conventional progger rounds off another top-notch package.

Swindon based trio Neptune Project step up on the 2nd remix to produce an energetic and beautiful twist to the original, with raw and explosive bass and euphoric synths.
